DESCRIPTION:
Masseria ALFIERI in Ceglie Messapica is a historical structure of great charm and history, dating back to 1833, built by the architect Francesco Allegretti. Originally, the farm was intended for livestock farming, land processing and the production of dairy products and agricultural commodities. Over time, the upper floor was transformed into a holiday home for a noble family.
The property is situated in a picturesque location, surrounded by 100 hectares of agricultural land. Part of this land is covered by centuries-old oak woods, while other areas are used for arable land, surrounded by oak trees and Mediterranean scrub. The property is completely fenced with dry stone walls and is located in a rural Salento.
The structure of the farm is distributed on two floors. On the ground floor there are stables and spaces for processing agricultural products, including ancient kitchens and ovens for the production of durum wheat bread. The upper floor includes large rooms used as residence of Massaro and stores for supplies. The building is characterized by the typical local stone star vaults, barrel arches and trulli cone, all built dry.
This charming farm and the vast surrounding property offer many opportunities for use. It can be transformed into a rural tourist facility, a luxury resort with swimming pool, a luxury farm estate, a SPA and golf resort or a luxury agriturismo. In addition, it could be suitable as a prestigious private residence or summer residence.
