Trullo Casolare is a lovely countryside 2 bedroom trullo with large pool offering comfort and tranquillity. It is just a short distance from some of the best sites Puglia has to offer: 5 minutes to Grotto di Castellana, Italy's longest subterranean network of limestone caves, 10 minutes to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Alberobello, and 20 minutes to the nearest beaches. A perfect trullo for a romantic or small family holiday.
Situated in a quiet country lane, Trullo Casolare offers comfort and tranquillity. It has a large private swimming pool, BBQ, pergola and a large circular outdoor table and chairs, perfect for outdoor dining and relaxation.
Entering the spacious lounge where you will find a large area with a focal wood burning stove, ideal for the cooler evenings.
Both bedrooms are directly off the lounge. The master bedroom is furnished with a double bed, bedside cabinets and lamps, chest of drawers and a book case. The second bedroom has double bed, which can be converted to twins, bedside cabinets with lamps, chest of drawers and an alcove with hanging space for clothes.
The well equipped kitchen, situated in what used to be the fireplace, retains the original chimney but which is now capped with a skylight window to bring more light into the kitchen. It houses a four ring gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, coffee maker and cooking utensils to cook and serve meals either for indoor or outdoor dining.
The L-shaped dining room is furnished with a glass table with seating for four, a tall cabinet which houses the crockery, fridge freezer and microwave. A door leads out onto the gazebo and pool area.
The bathroom has a toilet, bidet, shower, sink and bathroom cabinet. As with many Italian homes the washing machine is also located in the bathroom.
Outside you can cool off by taking a dip in the large (10m x 5m) private swimming pool and where you can sun yourself on one of the luxury sun loungers. There is also a large stone BBQ with a prep area and sink ideal for al fresco dining under the gazebo.
The property is centrally heated, has fans for the bedrooms, mosquito nets on all windows and doors. There is also a hairdryer, travel cot, high chair and changing mat for guest use.
LOCALITY
The Caves of Castellana Grotte are over 3000 metre in length and are a good opportunity to enjoy one of the most amazing natural wonders in Puglia. Daily tours of the cave are available in English, French German and Italian.
Acquapark is a fun waterpark for the whole family. There are three pools; one for younger children, one with a wave generator and one larger pool with dierent types of pool slides. Around the pools there are loungers where you can relax in the shade if it the sun gets too hot for youand a restaurant and café onsite.
The town of Alberobello is under 10 mintues drive away and here you will find an abundance of restaurants, cafe/bars, ice cream parlours and ample supermarkets for your needs.
An interesting shop called Trullo Antichi Sapori which has been selling quality local cheeses, salami, wines, olive oils, pasta, etc since the 1930's is well worth a visit and can be found in the old town amongst the all the famous trullis in the tourist zone. It also offers free samples too taste and a very warm welcome.
If you like wine then a visit to Albea winery and museum in town is a must.
Visit Cantina del Locorotondo where you can sample and buy their wine and buy and just a little further on (10 minutes drive) towards Martina Franca stop at Cantine di Marco to try their wines.
There are lots of beaches with lidos for those who wish for some on-site services.
The Zoolandia experience at Fasano is a day out for the family.
